Meet the Team

about our team
Carl E. Champigny II

Senior Designer | Showroom Manager

Carl has worked closely with Frank McCormick Jr. for over twenty years. He enjoys what he does because no day is ever the same—every client and project is unique. Carl also considers himself privileged to be entrusted with the responsibility of creating and altering spaces in client’s homes. Born and raised in Peabody, Massachusetts, you can still find him running around the neighborhood. Now, with three kinds of his own, Carl spends his time outside of work with them and his wife (or in the gym).

FRANCIS MCCORMICK III

Designer

Frankie McCormick has been officially employed by McCormick Kitchens for twelve years. However, he was raised with a close understanding of the work his father did to grow the business to where it is. Originally brought on board as a master tile installer, Frankie now understands the joy he brings to a client by taking care of their projects, from start to finish.

Now based in Gloucester, outside of work, you’d need a nautical navigation system to track him down. He enjoys maintaining and sharing the experience of his boat for and with friends and family.

Darrin King

Foreman | Site Supervisor

Darrin has been with the company for just shy of twenty years. He truly understands what it takes to demo, install, and finish a McCormick Kitchen. He takes great pride and responsibility in overseeing all of the projects we take on. Having recently relocated from Danvers to Southern New Hampshire, Darrin enjoys exploring the outdoors with a variety of recreational vehicles.

Our Process

We are here for you every step of the way. If you’re just in the conceptualization stage for your project, take some time to research trends and images of spaces that inspire you. Take in design from a range of spaces that interest you. It is important to have a range of broad concepts that you admire, but also, try to focus on layouts your space allows for. Come into the showroom, explore our displays and discuss the scope of your project with our team.

You know exactly what you want to do, or have a pretty good idea at this point. Schedule an appointment with our team. During the measure, a member of our design team will visit your space to ensure accurate dimensions. The designer will also garnish inspiration for their initial design work by examining the potential of the space and further discussing your goals for the project. Before leaving, you and your designer will schedule a design review meeting for the following week.

At this meeting, your designer will show you a detailed digital rendering of your space as you have re-imagined it together. A this point, you will either approve your design or continue to work with you designer to make further improvements in real time. This process allows you and the designer to ensure space is optimized and that design is exactly as you’ve pictured it

Whether we are taking care of the entire project for you; from permitting and demolition, to installation and inspection; or just providing you with product, on this day you will set a date for your project, agree on terms and begin anticipating your new space.

After signing your contract, things are officially set in motion. Your cabinetry is available with about a five week lead time. If this is the extent of your contract, a time and manor for you to obtain your cabinetry will be set. If you’ve entrusted us with completing the project in its entirety, our team will be pulling permits on your behalf and preparing the demolition day.

Once permits have been obtained, and your cabinets are en route—demolition will begin.  It might seem scary to live with out your space for a bit, especially when doing a kitchen.  Thankfully, our team works with you to establish a plan of attack to ensure the productivity of your space will be maintained.  Throughout the entirety of the process, our team respects the value and integrity of your entire home.  Sure, you have a little bit of work to do (clearing the space of personal touches) to prepare for demolition.  However, our team takes it from there.  Ensuring your floors, walls, and belongings remain secure and clean throughout your entire space, with no extra effort from you.  Our team respects the agreed upon time frame and schedule throughout the project.  You will be kept thoroughly up to date.

At this point in your project, the finish line is visible. Our team works to ensure your space is properly prepared for installation. When your product arrives, our team will receive it for you. They will begin install work, ensuring all necessary work is completed above standard and in a timely manor. Before you know it, your space is ready to enjoy. Our master finish carpenters ensure that every detail is perfect. They will install your hardware and coordinate final inspections.

Once you, our team and local officials have ensured that the proposed project has been completed properly, our relationship doesn’t end. We stay in close contact for the lifetime of your space and are a reliable resource for you indefinitely.
