Taking Control of Your Space

Taking Control of Your Space

In this world, there aren’t many things we can control.

One of the things we do have the power to control, is our space. I’m not just talking about your personal space, which moves with you throughout your day, but the space that you come home to day after day; night after night. The one constant you have complete and utter control over.

Live in a home you control and enjoy.
This space, frequently referred to as your home, is completely controlled by you. You have the power to control who comes and who goes. You also have the power, and the right, to make it 100% yours.

“Think about what kind of house you want to live in and how you want to live in it. In other words, describe your ideal lifestyle. If you like drawing, sketch out what it looks like. If you prefer to write, describe it in a notebook. You can also cut out photos from magazines.”
— Marie Kondo, Rule 2: Imagine Your Ideal Lifestyle

It is important to craft a space that is not only representative of who you are, and what you like, but one which feels truly inviting to its most important guest. You. Your family.

Create a space that works for you.

Taking on a remodel can feel overwhelming. You might even think it could do more harm than good to undergo the sometimes-lengthy processes of redesigning a space.

However, the toll that living in a space in which you don’t feel you’ve had any say in can be much more detrimental than a couple weeks of renovation. In fact, it can feel extremely cathartic to watch your previously undervalued space transform into what is now your escape from the world around it. Living in a space that brings you joy is extremely important (and also possible.)

When working with the right firm for such a project, this apprehension should be completely alleviated. It should be an exciting process. One in which you have all of the say, and none of the pain. It is important to work with a firm that listens, that cares, and that knows how to take these stressors on, on your behalf.

Rather than letting your space set the tone for you and your day, take control.

Decide what you wake up to, and most importantly; feel yourself in.

Schedule an appointment with one of our expert designers to discuss the ways in which we can improve your space’s functionality and aesthetic presence.
